A special thank you to everyone who came to the annual Farmer Appreciation Breakfast in Owatonna on Tuesday. It sure was fun to talk with our listeners. It is these type of events that make being in radio as a farm broadcaster special. For those in radio there is a tendency to get so busy with what you have to do in the studio (news and show prep) that a kind of wall goes up. Your world does not expand beyond the studio. I have an advantage as a farm broadcaster because I get out of the studio so often for meetings and events. It is like I can stay in touch with real people.

Also a special thank you to all the sponsors, and especially the Plaza Morena Campestre Grill in Owatonna. Louis and his crew did a great job preparing the pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs. All I had to do was get the food into the refrigerator the day before and then visit with all the folks that came to the Farmer Appreciation Breakfast.
