The final Faribault Winter Farmers' Market of the season was scheduled for Saturday April 11, 2020 at the Paradise Center for the Arts in downtown Faribault from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Market Manager Tiffany Trip "decided that the indoor space was too limited (at the Paradise Center for the Arts) to assure the 6 feet of physical distancing" recommended by health officials. During Minnesota's Stay at Home order farmers' Markets are considered essential business.

So, Tiffany called Rice County Fair Manager John Dvorak and asked if the Winter Farmers' Market could be held in the carport on the Rice County Fairgrounds. John said they would be happy to host the Farmer's Market on the Rice County Fairgrounds. The carport is between the Grandstand and the 4-H Building. Tiffany said there will be increased space between venders, numerous hand-washing stations will be set up and people will be there to remind visitors if they are getting too close to others.
