The Faribault HIgh School Activities Office issued a news release announcing the hiring of a new Activites Director for the school district.  Keith Badger's hiring was approved by the School Board at their May business meeting.  Badger replaces Danny Duchene who served in the position since January of 2016.  Duchene resigned to pursue a new career path in school business and finance.

Badger spent the past five years at New Richmond High School in Wisconsin.  While there Badger served as the assistant activities director, head football coach, physical education teacher and head strength and conditioning coach.  In the news release Badger is quoted as saying, "I am tremendously excited to join the Faribault activities and athletics team.  There is an outstanding group of coaches, advisers, and administrators in the district and I look forward to partnering with them to enhance the student experience in activities and athletics."

Faribault High School Principal Jamie Bente was leader of the search committee and says, "Keith's energy, passion and enthusiasm for athletics and activities was clear and evident in his interview.  He has great experiences in a variety of roles that will impact our activities programs and continue to improve the experience for our families and community.  I am very excited to welcome Keith to our district."

Badger graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Mn. in 2010 with a Bachelors in Education.  He completed his Masters in Education degree in 2017 at UW-River Falls and also earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credentials.

He and his wife Kayla have two children, Greyson (6) and Everett (1).  Badger begins his new position in Faribault July 1, 2018.
