
Faribault Man Killed in Pickup-Bike Crash

Madison Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Faribault man was killed yesterday while bicycling on a trail in the Mankato area.
The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 66-year-old Earl Pofahl. A news release says he was riding on the Sakatah Trail near Madison Lake and was struck by a pickup truck when he attempted to cross a rural highway.
Pohahl was transported by helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died from those injuries yesterday evening. The 57-year-old Mankato man driving the pickup was not hurt.
The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says the fatal incident remains under investigation.
