Faribault Girls Tennis Falls to #4 Rochester Mayo

The Faribault Falcons traveled to Rochester Mayo today for a Big Nine Conference match.  The #4 Class 2A rated Spartans came out on top 7-0.

Falcons Head Coach Jeff Anderson said some of the abilities of the Mayo players, "were overwhelming."  He was encouraged by the maximum effort his team displayed on the court saying, "It was good to see that in all the matches the Faribault players were able to win at least one game and in some matches even multiple games."

No. 1 Taylor Julsrud, Mayo defeated Kylie Petricka of Faribault 6-0, 6-1

No. 2 Ani Bubulian of Mayo over Rachel Bostwick of Faribault 6-1, 6-1

No. 3 Audrey Aney of Mayo defeated Serena David of Faribault 6-2, 6-1

No. 4 Keely Ryder of Mayo over Bailey Peterson of Faribault 6-3, 6-0

Doubles

No. 1 Grace Ackerman/Taylor Hill of Mayo defeated Erica Johnsrud/Abby Goodwin 6-1, 6-0

No. 2  Ella Dozois/Kate Stacy of Mayo over Kate Jasinski/Rylie Starkson 6-2, 6-2

No. 3  Jordan Ruskell/Madi Couser of Mayo defeated Hailey Reuvers/Stacie Petricka
6-1, 6-2.

Faribault has a very busy week next week with a home match against Farmington on Monday.  Host Red Wing Tuesday.  Wednesday host Northfield in a rescheduled match.  Thursday travel to Albert Lea before hosting Waseca next Saturday.
