EQIP Funds Available for Land Owners

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has funds available through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP.) If you are in the field this fall and you see gullys or other signs of erosion because of all the heavy rain take note of where it is and talk with your local NRCS office at the USDA Service Center.

The EQIP Program provides incentives and assistance for farmers and land owners in addressing many different resource concerns. Applications are accepted anytime and they are looking for 2020 projects now for funding. NRCC staff will actually come out to your farm, assess the problem and explain all the options and cost share funding that may be available. However, the farmer or land owner must take the first step and ask for help!
