E 85 Day at Community Coop Great Success

The E 85 day at Community Coop Oil Association in Faribault was a great success. In the picture Kelly is filling my tank with E 85 (85 percent ethanol) and chairmen of the board Harvey is getting set to wash my windows! The E 85 day was sponsored my the Minnesota Corn Growers, American Lung Association of Minnesota and Clean Air Choice along with Community Coop oil Association.

The Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers and Rice County Pork Producers brought the portable food stand and served pork burgers or shredded pork, water and chips for a buck. There sure were a lot of drivers with flex-fuel vehicles taking advantage of E 85 priced at 85 cents below the normal price. Kelly said 2014 was the first Community Coop E 85 day. That was the year Community Coop put in new blender pumps and it was kind of a grand opening too. It was so successful that first year it has turned into an annual event!
