Dover Man Told Trooper There Was a Bomb in His Vehicle
Dover, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Dover man was arrested Friday after a State Patrol traffic stop led to a chase.
A spokesman for the Olmsted County Sheriff's office says the pursuit began after 42-year-old Peter Heaser was pulled over in the 18,000 block of Highway 14 near Dover around 3 PM Friday. The report filed by Olmsted County deputies indicated Heaser sped away after he refused to roll down the window on his vehicle and then told the state trooper there was a bomb in the vehicle.
The chase took place on the roadway and in fields before a deputy placed himself in front of the vehicle in a field and Heaser stopped. As of this morning, he was being held on suspicion of vehicle theft, fleeing police, and DWI.
