The Minnesota Dairy Research and Promotion Council is seeking candidates to run for board positions in 11 districts. Board members are elected by dairy farmers that pay into the Dairy Check-Off. Board members oversee how the check-off funds are invested. By Federal Law check-off funds can only be invested in research, promotion and education.

"Candidates should be active dairy farmers who are well informed members of their community and interested in check-off promotion programs. Those interested in running for a seat on the board should contact their local nominating chair by September 30, 2019.

The Nomination Chair for Dakota, Le Sueur, Rice, and Scott Counties is Nate Kuball who is a Dairy Farmer by Morristown. It you would like more information on the other District Chairs contact Ruth White at 651-201-6494. Election Ballots will be mailed to all Minnesota dairy farmers in January. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture conducts the election of board members.
