I did check with Le Sueur and Rice County Farm Service Agency Director Gary Kunz to see exactly what the USDA COVID-19 policy was. The polices are fluid and can change at any time.  As of Friday afternoon there could be two staff employees at the USDA Farm Service Agency office at any given time. However, the door will be locked. All communication will be by phone, cell phone, email and fax.

I am thankful that at least that this occurred after County FSA offices were finished signing farmers up for the new Farm Bill. I would thing that other program sign-up deadlines will be extended when this is all over! Remember, if you have corn or beans under CCC loan call your FSA office to get permission before you haul the grain.  Call Before You Hall! In addition you can still apply for a CCC crop loan until March, 31 2020.
