The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everyone lives as we wait for the vaccine to hopefully let our lives return to normal. However, somethings we had to do differently because of the pandemic may continue even when it is over! One trend that was already underway was many consumers wanting to shop more local for food and other products. This has increased with the pandemic and includes holiday gift shopping too!

Because of "unprecedented demand" from Minnesota shoppers the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Minnesota Grown program has developed a Gift Guide. The Minnesota Grown Gift Guide already has more than 70 different products shoppers can purchase online that can be delivered or picked up and they are all local. You can see the Gift Guide on the Minnesota Grown Directory.

"It was of utmost importance to make the giving experience as safe and accessible as possible this year," said Assistant Commissioner Patrice Baily said. "Many Minnesota Grown Members have developed e-commerce functionality on their websites, and this gift guide is a perfect way to highlight this new functionally."
