Monticello, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the name of the central Minnesota man who was killed yesterday when he was struck by a semi-truck while riding a bike.

71-year-old Gordon Anderson of Monticello was in the crosswalk at the intersection of the exit ramp from westbound I-94 and a divided four-lane highway in Monticello when the deadly incident occurred around 7:45 AM. The State Patrol says the driver of the truck was attempting to turn right from the freeway exit ramp onto Highway 25 when the dump trailer he was pulling struck the victim.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, 64-year-old Andrew Reinke of Stanchfield, was not injured. The investigation into the crash closed down a portion of Highway 25 for several hours.
