Caribou announced earlier this week that they'll be launching a new store concept called Caribou Cabins. They'll be starting with five locations in Minnesota. These Caribou Cabins will be mini-stores with no indoor seating, they'll be drive-thru and walk-up only locations in the iconic "Caribou-blue" color.

The first five Caribou Cabins will be launching in Jordan, Burnsville, Willmar, St. Peter, and Big Lake. Their goal is to have the stores, obviously, look like cabins and have a Northwoods-y feel. Bring Me the News says that "the Cabins will also feature new menu items including 'flavor-infused' drink items, like sparkling waters, juices and sodas, made from coffee beans." These new drink items are called Caribou Bou-sted®. Clever!

John Butcher, President & CEO of Caribou said in a press release:

Caribou Coffee will continue to lean into the Northern roots that made our brand what it is today. We are confident that our new Cabin concept will differentiate us even more by delivering customers the highest quality coffee, expanded beverage innovation and ownable guest interaction that only Caribou can deliver.

I think this is a really cute idea, I'm excited to see what these Caribou Cabins are going to look like in person! The first five Caribou Cabin locations will be opening in the coming months, according to a press release.
