The Minnesota Associated Press #7 rated Cannon Falls Bombers closed out their season with a hard fought loss to #5 Stewartville in a battle of unbeaten teams last night.  The game was played in Stewartville.

Cannon Falls is shipped up to Section 4 when the playoffs start and even though they never see any of the teams in their section during the regular season they have done well there the past few seasons.

The Bombers are the defending Section 4AAA Champions.  Cannon Falls received the #2 seed in the 4AAA playoffs and receive a first round bye.  The 7-1 Bombers will open with the winner of the #6 St. Croix Lutheran (1-7) at #3 Minneapolis Roosevelt (3-5) game.

Cannon Falls will be in John Burch Park 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

Top seed Breck also receives a bye and awaits the winner of #4 Lake City (3-5) versus #5 Richfield (1-7).  The game at Breck (7-1) is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

The only loss for Breck was to St. Agnes 14-0 at Concordia St. Paul.  The Mustangs have only allowed more than one touchdown to two teams while recording three shutouts.

The only win for St. Croix Lutheran was against Spectrum 28-22.  The Crusaders have been shut out three times this season.

Only two of Lake City's three wins counted in the QRF rankings because they defeated a Wisconsin school.  The Tigers downed Rochester Lourdes 27-14 and Red Wing 58-13.  The Wingers have no victories.

Lake City did lose to Cannon Falls 58-14 during the regular season.

The only win for Richfield came in their season opener against St. Croix Lutheran 49-34.
