Cannon Falls Milk 1

On Tuesday Cannon Falls FFA members purchased a lot of milk in gallon jugs and gave one to every family that stopped by to pick up lunches from the Cannon Falls School Lunch Program. With the COVID-19 pandemic and many people out of work there is a great need for food. Cannon Falls FFA members were also aware of Dairy Farmers receiving very low prices for their milk and some even had to be dumped!

So Cannon Falls FFA members came up with the idea of buying and donating milk to families in need. This fit right in with Cannon Falls FFA members doing Community Service projects. They have adopted a highway, put sand in playgrounds using shovels, (not a skid steer loader), played games and helped senior citizens send Christmas Cards and many other projects.

During the school year I talk with Cannon Falls FFA members every Tuesday. Cannon Falls FFA members always mention the Community Service projects. It sure seems like they enjoy these projects! Thank you to Cannon Falls FFA advisor Duane Pliscott for sending me the pictures!
