Grab a Kleenex as these Cannon Falls students represent everything that is good in this world. Former students of Kiley Winberg piled off the bus yesterday morning to sing Christmas Carols to their former teachers family. Kiley, you see, was a 2nd-grade teacher at Cannon Falls Elementary school and had just lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 30.

It all started back in 2017 after Winberg was conducting a self-exam and found a lump. According to KTTC reported Linda Ha, she then went to a clinic in Red Wing and was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.

Winberg's mother told the reporter that for a period of time after receiving treatment and surgery she was 'cancer-free'.

And then this school year began, and Winberg discovered she was running a fever. Winberg brought herself into the hospital and was given an x-ray. That’s when the doctors found out that she had developed cancer again. This time, the cancer had spread to her lungs and lymph nodes by her sternum.

It was terminal.
