California, Here We Are????

Louise, Laura and I had a safe trip to Sacramento this afternoon. Stephen will be flying in tomorrow around noon and then we will be heading to Medford Oregon for my sisters wedding reception. It was much cheaper to fly into Sacramento and drive about five hours to Medford. I have heard it is a very pretty drive along the coast so we thought why not? Sacramento is a beautiful city that made me feel right at home. The picture is of a harvested small grain field about half a mile from our hotel. I suspect it was oats or wheat and if you look closely you can see the big bales of straw still in the field. I would be really impressed if I saw a corn or bean field!! My perception of all major cities in California was that they nothing but buildings and freeways stacked on top of each other. In Sacramento there are fields in the city!
