The City of Faribault spring Buckham Bulletin was recently mailed out and Parks and Recreation Director Paul Penansky will join us 9:30 a.m. to discuss it on AM Minnesota.  According to information on the City of Faribault Park and Recreation website the bulletin is published quarterly with a circulation of 15,000 and is mailed to all Faribault city and rural addresses.

If you did not receive it there is a link on the Recreation Department website where you can also download the latest issue.  Space permitting, nonprofit agencies may advertise their events and activities at no charge in the bulletin.  The Buckham Bulletin is the official event and activity guide for the City of Faribault.

It includes information about the Faribault City Council and various city departments.  Inlcuded is information from the Paradise Center for the Arts and River Bend Nature Center.

One of the events being touted is the Edible Books Festival.  The 3rd annual contest will be held Saturday, March 31 and includes four categories this year.

Families, Adults, City of Faribault Employees and Businesses/Organizations.  Entries must be an edible depiction of a literary subject (book, title, etc.).  You can contact the library for complete entry information.

Registration entry forms are available now and they must be turned in my March 28.

The public is invited to view the judged entries any time after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31.  Cake refreshments will be available until it's gone.
