Junior Brady Strodtman of Faribault Bethlehem Academy dribbled the length of the floor and scored on a layup with 1.8 seconds to go to give his team a 59-58 win over the Medford Tigers tonight.

The Tigers had four fouls to give and did not use any of them late in the game.  Strodtman finished the night with 34 points and was joined by senior Bo Dienst on senior night with 5 triples in the game for 15 points.

Dienst hit early to help the Cardinals open up a double digit lead but it dwindled when Medford got in attack mode and both teams were flying up and down the court with fast break after fast break.

The score at the half was Bethlehem Academy 34, Medford 28.

The TIgers came out in the second half determined to slow the game down and get the ball inside to 6'6 senior AJ Vanderheide.  He scored 10 second half points and finished with 13.

Senior 6'4 Kael Hermanstorfer had 5 triples and finished with 21 points.  Junior 6'3 Henry Grayson added 14 points for Medford.

The Cashwise Foods and Pharmacy of Owatonna Delivery of the game went to Hermanstorfer's delivery of 21 points with no free throws.

The Tigers were 2 of 4 from the free throw line.  The Cardinals 1 for 8 from the so-called charity stripe.

Our Malecha's Auto Body of Faribault Crunch Time Faribault Players of the Game were Strodtman and Dienst.

The Cardinals were playing shorthanded with a total of 8 players able to suit up for the game.  The BA girls game in Medford got cancelled due to illness also.

6'2 freshman Aaron Huerta was inserted into the starting lineup and he contributed on the defensive end of the floor in particular.  Huerta took a charge late in the game that waved off a Medford basket and gave the ball back to the Cardinals.
