The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals boys basketball team beat Goodhue 51-46 at Van Orsow Auditorium Thursday night.  Cardinals senior Jack Clark had a very efficient game while leading all players with 25 points.  It was a one possession game late when Clark sank two free throws to seal the win.

Last Friday Bethlehem Academy lost a one point game at United South Central basically because of poor free throw shooting (7 of 18).  The free throw line earned them the 5 point win against Goodhue.  The Cardinals were 10 of 14 from the line with Clark shooting all but three of the team's free throws meaning he was 8 of 11 and the rest of the team 2 for 3 in the game.  The Wildcats ended the game 4 of 10 from the so called charity stripe.

In addition to Clark, Griffin and J.J. Malecha were named our Faribault State Farm Insurance agents Faribault players of the game.  Senior Griffin Malecha scored all 8 of his points in the second half and sophomore J.J. tallied 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Damon Trump became the all-time career assist leader at Bethlehem Academy finishing with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.  Freshman Brady Strodtman brought energy off the bench with 5 rebounds in 20 minutes and maybe more impressive were his zero turnovers.

Goodhue was led by junior 6'5 Luke Wallaker with 13 points.  The Wildcats bench had 9 points and the Bethlehem Academy bench 8 points.  Goodhue had six more rebounds than Bethlehem Academy (29 to 23).

The Cardinals shot 50 percent from the field.  The Wildcats 39 percent.  Bethlehem Academy was 5 of 15, Goodhue 4 of 22 from three point range.
