I guess I parked my car a little too close to the corn dryer yesterday. Those are what farmers call bees wings all over my car. They did not even blow off when I drove home last night. No they are not wings from bees. There is a membrane around the kernel of corn where it is attached to the ear that we call bees wings. Most corn hybrids have reddish-brown bees wings, but I have seen some hybrids with white bees wings.

When you are harvesting and drying corn there are bees wings flying everywhere. You will see drifts of bees wings around the dryer built up like a snow drift. If there is a little dew they will stick on your tractor, combine, dryer, bins and car. They do not cause any damage and easily wash off with a pressure washer. I guess you know you are a farmer if your car is covered with bees wings! Maybe when I pressure wash my equipment before I put it away I will wash my car too? Then again, I might wait for it to rain!
