It was fun Tuesday on KDHL's AM Minnesota program to talk with Paul Sundberg, DVM Executive Director of the Swine Health Information Center. The Swine Information Health Center was founded about 5 years ago so I have talked with Paul many times at the Farm Broadcasters Convention in Kansas City and Pork Congress at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The Swine Health Information Center tracks Foreign Animal diseases to try and "close the windows" where they could move into the United States and develop a plan of action if they would show up here. In addition they track swine production diseases and any potential emerging diseases. Paul said they email a monthly news letter that is free for any pork producer that wants to stay informed on swine health issues.

The AM Minnesota program with Paul is on our website as a podcast. There is a banner on the home page kdhlradio.com that says AM Minnesota podcast. When you click on that you will see the last few programs.
