The news release I received from the University of Minnesota Extension Service Tuesday was not a surprise given the spread of COVID-19. All of the University of Minnesota Extension Service land rent meetings called What is a Fair Farm Rental Agreement will be virtual. A few of the meetings including the one scheduled for Owatonna Thursday November 19, 2020 were going to be in person with strict limits to accommodate social distancing.

So, now all the meetings including Owatonna will be virtual. All the land rent meetings will be held as online zoom meetings. Some of them will be more regional and others like the one tomorrow will be more local for Steele County. Go to the website: z.umn'edu/LandRentRegistration for a complete schedule and listing. You will need to pre-register and you can also that on the same website.

David Bau Extension Educator, Ag Business Management, U of M Regional Office Worthington will again this year be leading the land rent meetings. Extension Educator Claire LaCanne in Rice and Steele County has all the information on the Rice and Steele County Extension website too. Claire also thought that the meetings will be posted online so, if you can watch the one of most interest to you.
