Albert Lea Ends Faribault Wrestler’s Team Season.

I am pretty sure that coach Armbruster and the Falcons new it was not going to be an easy task to get by Albert Lea in the Section 1AAA Semi-Finals in Rochester on Saturday. Albert Lea 23-4 and Faribault 17-14 started out in a tight battle. But two pins at the end by Austin Rendler and Dillon McEarchran were not enough to get the Falcons the win and Albert Lea won 36-26. Owatonna defeated Northfield, so they will face Albert Lea for the Section Title and the right to go to the team portion of the state tournament.

Zumbrota defeated Caledonia 61-9 and Goodhue defeated Chatfield 46-22. Goodhue wrestles Zumbrota for the 1A Title.

Kasson Mantorville will wrestle Simley for the 1AA Title. They Defeated Stewartville 68-0. Simley defeated PEM 45-24.

Zumbrota defeated Goodhue for the 1A title 44-15.

Albert Lea Defeated Owatonna for the 1AAA Title.
