The Annual Agronomy Field Tour at the Southern Research and Outreach Center at Waseca will be "in person" next Tuesday June 21, 2022. in Waseca. I am sure many other farmers are pleased that we will not staring at a computer screen because of COVID like the last couple years! If the weather does not cooperate to be in the fields the program will be in the conference room at SROC.

Typically all the topics have been agronomy related but one this year will be on the grain markets. Ed Usset with he Center for Farm Financial Management at the University of Minnesota will be there in the conference room in the Administration Building to share his thoughts on the current situation with corn and soybean markets. That will be first at 8:30 and then the tour will head to the fields.

Other topics include Weed Management-Ryan Miller, UM Regional Extension Educator, Corn Growth and Development-Jeff Coulter UM Extension Agronomist, Cover Crops-Ethan Ley, Graduate Student, Dept. of Agronomy and Plant Genetics, Qualifying the Benefits of Soil Health-Bailey Tangen Graduate Research Assistant Dept. of Soil, Water and Climate and Side Dressing Liquid Manure into corn-Melissa Wilson, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Soil, Water and Climate.
