We've got another adoptable animal looking for its forever home this week. Georgia the cat has been at the shelter since 2018 and is hoping to find a loving home for Valentine's Day.

Georgia, according to my friend Michaela who volunteers at the Mower County Humane Society, "always greets you" as you enter the shelter. Michaela had this to say about Georgia.

"Georgia is a very sweet girl who always greets you with a smile when you walk in the door. She has been with Mower County Humane Society since being rescued in 2018. She is a very social girl and gets along well with other cats at the shelter. She would be good with considerate children as well. Those amber eyes should be winning hearts across the globe so let’s help Georgia find a home!"

Georgia also doesn't seem to have any health concerns either, which other than a yearly checkup for her isn't too much for someone to handle. As with all animals coming into a new house or living environment, it will take some time for them to feel comfortable, so having a little patience can be very rewarding.

Georgia's adoption fee at the Mower County Humane Society is $50. You can find and fill out an adoption application here. Currently, the shelter is still not open with regular adoption hours, you will have to schedule a visit by calling the shelter.
