A beautiful campus located on the east side of Faribault, the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf serves deaf students in Minnesota and began enrolling students in 1863.

Given to the city of Faribault as a memorial, the Thomas Scott Buckham Memorial Library was dedicated in 1930.

Considered to be one of the most historic districts in the state, downtown Faribault is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to great dining, shopping and activities.
