The Minnesota State Fair is underway, and that means only one thing: putting deliciously unhealthy things into your body until you can’t take it anymore. I’m still thinking about all the Cheesy French Onion Crazy Bread I ate last year. But for those of you who are concerned about what you eat, I can safely confirm that beer is without a doubt the healthiest thing you can buy at the fair*.

So with that in mind, here are 5 new beers debuting at the Fair that I’m planning on trying out:

  1. Dill Pickle Beer at Giggle’s Campfire Grill

Let’s get this out of the way: there’s absolutely no chance this will taste good. But how could I not try something called “Dill Pickle Beer”? It’s practically daring me to try it. Challenge accepted.

  1. Lemon Sunshine at LuLu’s Public House

Beer + Limoncello is an interesting combination. This seems like it would taste really good on a hot day - with the added bonus of getting to feel classy for drinking limoncello beer. Just say it with me: "Limoncello."

  1. Lingonberry Lager at Coasters

Lingonberry is one of those under-the-radar fruits that I always forget exists, and I can never remember how it tastes. Better try it then!

  1. Red, Light, and Blu Frozen Beer at Schell’s Pavillion

It’s described as “red citrus sangria beer” that’s mixed with Grain Belt Frozen Blu and Premium Light. This looks fun to try. For America.

  1. Summit Lazy Sipper at Shanghaied Henri’s and the Summit Booth

This one looks tasty, combining toast, breadcrumb, graham cracker, lemon, green tea, and grapefruit. The beer that says “if you drink this, you probably have a beard.”

To see some other new beers that also look interesting, check out this list. I can’t wait.
