This is National 4-H Week! This is a week set aside to recognize 4-H as one of the largest youth organizations in the United States. I will have 3 Rice County 4-H Ambassadors as guests on today's AM Minnesota Program, Taylor Landrum, Marisa Winget and Megan Sirek.

The Minnesota 4-H Program is coordinated through the University of Minnesota Extension Service with support locally through the County Government. It is also adult volunteers, parents and grandparents that makes 4-H so successful.

What makes 4-H so unique in today's society is the whole family goes to 4-H meetings and activities together. It seems today parents and kids are each going their separate ways to different activities. There are not many organizations or activities that the whole family can go to together!

I am really looking forward to talking with these enthusiastic 4-H Ambassadors. Thank you to Rice County 4-H Program Coordinator Kelly Chadwick for getting the 4-H Ambassadors line up for the program!
