A 26-year-old Faribault man was killed Sunday after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle on Eastbound I-94 in Minneapolis. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 26-year-old Sergio Jaime Silva of Faribault was the motorcycle driver who died Sunday after traveling the wrong way on I-94 in Minneapolis.

The crash happened at 9:08 p.m. near Broadway Ave. Silva was reported to be traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 when he crashed head-on into a 2018 Kia Stinger. The driver of the Kia, 48-year-old Vivek Anand Chadaga of St. Paul was reported to be uninjured in the crash.

Silva was reported to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The state patrol reported that road conditions at the time of the crash were wet.

Responding with the State Patrol to the crash were the Minneapolis Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance.
