We All Scream for Ice Cream

Summer time weather creates lots of needs to find ways to cool off. We look to go swimming or maybe have a water balloon fight, or kids now days use the big super soaker guns.(I still just have fun spraying people with the hose.) Another popular event is an Ice Cream Social. These date back to the 18th century. It's still a popular way for neighborhoods or churches to have an easy get together event.

St. John's UCC in Wheeling Township is having such an event on Sunday July 12th from 4-7pm. It's sponsored by their youth fellowship. Lots of great food and of course Ice Cream available.  They also ask you to bring any aluminum cans you have around for their collection drive.

Bethlehem Lutheran in Morristown is also having one from 4-6pm on Sunday. They invite everyone to their air conditioned dining area.

If you can't make it to either one of those, just get some of your favorite Ice Cream(cookie dough or cherry Garcia please)and meet up with your friends and have a good weekend.
