The Farm Business Management program at the South Central College In Faribault will be holding their annual varietal plot results meeting on Tuesday, November 22, at South Central College in Faribault. The meeting will begin at 7PM. This meeting is open to all farmers, even if you are not part of the Farm Business Management program. Many of the seed company representatives are always there to answer questions you might have about corn hybrids or soybean varieties.

It should be an interesting meeting seeing the yield results. In addition, I am sure there will be updates on new traits like Enlist, Extend and their pending approval. I am also curious how the full season corn hybrids performed this year. Because of the longer than normal growing season and extra growing degree units you would think the 105- to 110-day hybrids would have had a yield advantage. We will find out next Tuesday!
