Copper Street Brass Quintet to Play in Faribault

The Copper Street Brass Quintet is back in Thursday Night's Concert in Central Park in Faribault. Because of their super performance last year, they were the most requested group to return this summer.

The Copper Street Brass Quintet is made up of five classically trained professional musicians. The music they choose to perform is a mix of original arrangements of pop tunes and jazz to truly unique renderings of classical music.

According to their website, csbq.org, as devoted educators, the quintet spends much of its season on residencies ranging from two to five days in schools and communities around the Upper Midwest. And they are constantly in high demand as performers and educators, performing with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, South Dakota Symphony, Davina and the Vagabonds, and ACME Jazz Company; and teaching at St. Olaf College, Concordia University, MacPhail Center for Music, and their own studios.

The concert is free to the public and is cosponsored by the Cathedral of our Merciful Savior and Faribault Parks and Recreation.
