The South Suburban Conference has three of the four teams in the semi-finals of the Class 4A Girls Basketball Tournament.  #1 ranked and seeded Eastview survived a scare with a 63-58 win over unrated St. Paul Central and Lakeville North and Bloomington Kennedy also advanced to the semis with convincing wins over their opponents at the Target Center Tuesday.  Eden Prairie was seeded number 4 in the tournament and ranked 10th in the final coaches poll while their opponent Anoka was rated 8th in the state and seeded 5th in the tourney.  The Eagles flew past the Tornadoes 67-57 in a game that saw 62 free throws shot.  Eden Prairie was 24 of 32 and Anoka 22 of 30 from the charity stripe.  Lakeville North tore apart number two seed Centennial in the first half, leading by 19 at the break 37-18.  The Cougars looked like a different team in the second half storming from behind to get the game into single digits just 5 minutes into the half and cut the margin to 2 with several minutes left in the game.  Lakeville North regained their composure and won the contest 69-52 led by junior Makenzie Denk with 21 points and 8 rebounds.  Sophmore Jessica Meidl tallied 10 points,12 rebounds and 5 assists and freshman Temi Carda had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The Panthers dominated the glass and shot 54 percent in the game to Centennial's 30 percent.  Lakeville North will play Bloomington Kennedy in the semis.  The Eagles defeated St. Michael-Albertville 71-57.  Senior Kenesha Bell led the way with 29 points and 6 rebounds.  The Semi-Finals are Thursday night with Eastview playing against Eden Prairie at 6pm and Lakeville North facing Bloomington Kennedy at 8pm.
