This is a picture of my Crop Insurance Adjuster in one of my corn fields. Around the middle of September the Waseca area was hit with a severe hair storm. I did not get the hail but my Dad said it got really windy for a few minutes. I had one corn variety, around 30 acres, that did not take the wind very well. The corn should be a couple feet taller than the Crop Adjuster! I did have to combine that variety one way and drive back to the other end of the field for the next pass. Because of the angle the corn was laying, one way it would go through the head but if I went the opposite way it would plug up on the head. At this point I am not sure how the 'wind endorsement" on my insurance policy will pay for this damage.
