Section 2 Class 2A Softball Tournament Starts Tuesday

Below are the Section 2 Class 2A Brackets for the MSHSL Softball Tournament. The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights received the No. 13 seed and will travel to No. 4 seed Le Sueur-Henderson. The Waterville-Elysian Morristown Buccaneers are the No. 6 seed and host No. 11 Medford. The Tri-City united Titans got the No. 7 seed and host No. 10 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.

K-W head coach Rich Kincaid told us the section was seeded according to QRF and he doubted the formula took into account things like K-W's extra-inning game to end the season with state-ranked (and at one time No. 1 rated) Randolph or their 2-1 loss to state-rated Blooming Prairie. It appears he was right. I will have the K-W game on KDHL Radio beginning at 4:45PM.
