River Bend Nature Center Ramble on Saturday Evening

It was an honor to be asked to emcee the 34th annual River Bend Nature Center Ramble on Saturday evening. This is a major fundraiser for the River Bend Nature Center. There was a live and silent auction, plus a lot of table sponsorships. It was great to see so many people there to support the mission of the River Bend Nature Center.

One of the live auction items last year was the right to name the Blue Tongued Skink, A certain neighbor of mine paid almost $300 to name it Jerry if I would kiss it. It was for a good cause so I did it. This year one item on the live auction was the naming rights for a Bearded Dragon Lizard. I am happy to report a that certain neighbor of mine was unable to be at the Ramble on Saturday evening. That means that there are not two "critters" at the River Bend Nature Center named Jerry! The Bearded Dragon Lizard will be named Isaac!
