River Bend Nature Center Education Coordinator Kaytlan Moeller will stop by KDHL to enlighten us about upcoming events at the gem location on Faribault's east side.

The Nature Center land includes 743 acres of original and restored natural lands and more than 10 miles of trails open to the public. The various habitats include prairie, hardwood forest and wetlands.

We'll talk about May events in general and highlight Birdfest, a hands-on celebration of the spring return of Minnesota's wild birds, scheduled for Saturday, May 23, from 8AM to noon. Birdfest will include a "Birds of Prey" presentation by the Raptor Center at 11AM. Several of the Raptor Center's education birds will be present for visitors to see up close.

River Bend is one of my favorite places on the planet.  Tune in at 9:30AM and find out what's happening there.
