There is a routine that I do every year that serves as a reminder to me that the cold weather and winter is on the way.

The corn stalks chopped and tilled

To me this is the first sign winter is not far away with the fall tillage finished.

Check the anti-freeze in tractors, combine and truck

Before putting the equipment away, I always check the anti-freeze in the tractors and combine. It would be a nasty surprise in the spring to find out your anti-freeze was not strong enough to prevent your engines from freezing and cracking during the winter!

    Shopping for Christmas presents

I am sure you are aware I do not really enjoy shopping (spending money). Well, I got all my Christmas shopping done in one stop! Louise, Laura, Stephen and I all got Apple iPhone 7s this week. Our phones were all three or four years old, so we had upgrades available. Thank you, Kelly, for taking a picture of my new phone, with my combine on the home page of course!
