It was rather cold this morning for the 13th annual FFA Tractor Parade in Randolph. Looking on the bright side, at least it was not raining or snowing. A couple of years ago we received about 6 inches of wet, heavy snow the night before the parade. Adviser Ed Terry did not know the exact number when I left this morning, but he said this year's parade featured about 100 tractors. Last year they set a record with 120 tractors, but the weather was about 60 degrees and sunshine.

It was fun to talk with Randolph Superintendent Michael Kelley before the parade. Kelley said this all started when an FFA member came up with the idea for a tractor parade. They though why not give it a try and see how it goes. Now they almost need a larger parking lot for all the tractors. It is really great to see the Randolph School and community support the Randolph FFA Tractor Parade.
