It was more than 50 years ago Ed Terry was hired at Randolph as a temporary part time ag teacher and FFA Advisor. Ed took the position for one year to try and get an FFA Program started at Randolph. Here we are, more than 50 years later the Randolph FFA Program is thriving! Ed did say a few words at the party and said he did not build the program.

It was the community of Randolph that adopted him and the FFA program. It was the support of the community and "we developed the Randolph FFA Program." It was also the support of wife Carol and brother David because they were at home taking care of the farm when Ed was at FFA Conventions, CDE's and other FFA activities.

In public Ed referred to his FFA members as Young Professionals, privately they were "his kids." More than winning an FFA contest, more than getting accepted at a college, finding a career path, earning an award, Ed strived to have 'his kids' grow up to be responsible adults!

In one of the pictures from the party was the standing ovation for Ed! I enjoyed working with Ed over the years and look forward to carrying on with the new Randolph FFA Advisors and the Randolph FFA Young Professionals!
