Each week I’ll share a picture and a little bit about a pet that is available for adoption and waiting to find a good home. If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your home, pet adoption can be a very rewarding way to do so. Check out this week’s Pet of the Week and then check back next week to see a new furry friend looking for a fur-ever home.

This week, we are featuring two pets! Peretta and Toka are a mom and daughter who are used to living together and would like to remain together in adoption. Peretta is a 9-year-old rat terrier and Toka is 8 years old. They both love car rides and walks, are friendly, and get along well with kids, cats and other dogs.

Peretta and Toka are both spayed and are current on their vaccinations as well as being house trained. If you’re interested in learning more about Peretta and Toka, or about another pet available for adoption, visit safesanctuary.org for application forms and more information.

S.A.F.E Sanctuary is a local foster-based rescue and adoption program that aims to pair animals with good homes. They spay or neuter pets and work to train and socialize them during the fostering period.
