Northfield Chamber President Todd Bornhauser and Tourism Director Lisa Peterson stop by the KDHL studio to talk about happenings in Northfield today.

The show starts at 9:30AM and we will get an update on the high water situation in Northfield. Northfield has experienced this many times in the past and the community has learned how to adjust and move on.

I'm sure we will also touch on a few upcoming events in the home of cows, colleges and contentment. For example, October 28 looks like fun.

Everyone is invited to the first Beyond Bourbon Street Spirits and Spirits Ball at the Grand Event Center in Northfield. The event features dinner, a live auction, wall of wine drawing, jazz band dancing and gambling tables. The Beyond Bourbon Street Spirits and Spirits Ball is hosted by the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Like a number of other area chambers, they have networking business events such as Business After Hours, and we could get some of that information.

The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce website has an interesting note that states local businesses generate 70 percent more local economic development activity per square foot than big box retail.

If you can't listen at 9:30AM, head to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch the show when you want to.
