The news hit me like a truck yesterday. One of my favorites, one of the actors I turned to when I needed a laugh, was gone. One of my friend's kids asked me, "is that what it means to get older when all of your favorite actors and singers start dying?"

I first enjoyed Robin Williams as Mork of course and then I have his album "Reality what a concept." Course this was being done in the days when he was still doing drugs. One of my favorite parts of the record( for those too young to remember records, they were black vinyl disks we played on a device called a turntable or record player.)was when people in the audience were begging him to be Mork, but he stopped and said, "I just want to explain, I ain't doing the Mork, because that's why I perform here, to do something different."

My favorite performances in order of release are:

Good Morning Vietnam, Hook, Toys, Aladdin and Aladdin Prince of Thieves, Fern Gully,Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, Flubber, Patch Adams, Night at the Museum, Happy Feet and License to wed.

I did not get to see much of his TV Show last year."the Crazy Ones. I was shocked it was cancelled after just one season.

Robin Williams was one I would have really liked to see in person some time. I hope some day, he's playing a great hall up there some where. RIP Robin Williams
