The Minnesota State Fair is still a couple of months away, but that doesn't mean people are not already talking about it and planning trips. In addition to having announced a great lineup of bands in the grandstand, the Minnesota State Fair now has people buzzing with talk of all of the new foods they can try this year!On the list are some things that are just strange, some that are sure to be regional favorites, some that could be described as gourmet, and a few things that fall into the unique category. A few of the items on the list this year are butter chicken samosas, deep-fried ribs, the Spam burger available in five flavors, and hot tail, which is described as a pig tail that is roasted and then coated with a a scallion ginger sauce.

Additional items that are new this year are the Kimchi 'n' curry poutine, the Minnesota Wild Rice Benedict muffin, Korean Bar-B-Q beef tacos, and walleye stuffed mushrooms. If you're looking for something sweet, you might like the BBQ pickle ice cream, the five varieites of Sara's tipsy pies, or the maple bacon funnel cake.

The items that most interest me off of the list are the grilled Venetian-style margherita pizza, the Indi-Frites which are russet and sweet potato fries seasoned with Indian spices, the mac and cheese cupcake, and the Totchos, which are tater tot nachos.

What items would you be most excited to try? Which items would you never try?
