The Minnesota Corn Growers Association is asking their members to call their congressional leaders and stress the need for a new farm bill. Passing a new farm bill will prevent major programs from lapsing at the end of this year. Minnesota Corn Growers are asked to join other farmers nation wide. Time is running out as their are only a few joint legislative days left in this Lame Duck Session.

"Through the end of the week, Minnesota's corn growers are asked to join farmers nationwide in contacting their representatives and senators to stress the need for a new farm bill during times of economic uncertainty on the farm. Passing a farm bill in 2018 would provide some necessary safety and stability to farmers currently facing a number of financial headwinds."

Minnesota Corn Growers Association leaders have traveled to the nation's capital and remained in conversation with Minnesota congressional leaders to stress the need for a strong safety net and conservation programs.
