St. Olaf broke a 15-game losing streak and reclaimed The Goat traveling trophy with their last minute 17-13 win over crosstown rival Carleton Saturday.

The Oles drove 75 yards in 10-plays, capped by a 9-yard touchdown pass from Nate Penz to JJ Strnad with 1:08 to play to lift St. Olaf past Carleton on a beautiful afternoon at Laird Stadium. The Oles picked up a 4th down and long at midfield on the drive. (full game recap...pictures too)

The score was 3-3 entering the final quarter. The Knights scored on a fourth down run by quarterback Zach Creighton. The Oles answered with a TD drive of their own, ending with a scoring pass to Troy Peterson. Carleton came back with a 40-yard FG from Brandt Davis with 5:28 remaining. St. Olaf responded with the game winning drive.

Ezra Coughlin converted a 30 yard field goal in the second quarter that evened the game at 3-all.

St. Olaf won for the 50th time in 95 all-time meetings.
