Artistic Director Julianna Skluzacek of the Merlin Players will be at the KDHL studio today to reveal details about "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged."

The play is described as "William Shakespeare meets Monty Python." Sluzacek says the comedy "will make you laugh until your face hurts."

The play was developed by three Brits -- Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield -- for the Scottish Fringe Festival. It became a worldwide phenomenon.

The actors present all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in 90 minutes. It presents the history plays as a football game, "Titus Andronicus" as a cooking show and "Othello" as a rap song. It also boasts the fastest world record for the shortest-ever performance of "Hamlet."

There is an opening night reception this Friday at the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault.

Performances are this Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM, Sunday at 2PM and next Thursday through Saturday at 7:30PM.

I'm sure Julianna will bring some of the cast with her on the AM Minnesota program, which begins at 9:30AM.

If you can't listen, then go to our YouTube channel and take in the show.
