The Kasson-Mantorville FFA will be hosting their annual Ag Day Dinner today. The K-M Intro to Ag class will be serving a free dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the North Gym of the high school in Kasson. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, potato chips, side dishes, milk and ice cream sandwiches. K-M FFA members will have displays to explain the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable food.

A special part of the annual Ag Day Dinner is to honor State FFA Executive Secretary Jim Ertl on his retirement. Everyone involved in the FFA knows and has worked with Ertl. He actually began his career as an instructor and adviser at the K-M FFA before he became the Minnesota FFA executive secretary. The K-M FFA Alumni officer team has come up with a plan to raise money for the Jim Ertl Endowment for State FFA Proficiency Awards. They are challenging officer teams from 1958 to the present to make a donation for the Jim Ertl Endowment. If you would like more information, or to make a donation, contact K-M FFA adviser Lori Pagel.
