Goodhue Football Back in Top Ten in Class A

The Associated Press Minnesota High School Football Polls are out for the week as voted upon by a statewide panel of prep sportswriters.

Lakeville North is still second in Class 6A. The Faribault Falcons' Friday opponent Mankato West is still No. 2 in Class 5A. Winona moved up to fourth in the Class 4A poll after their win over Faribault last week and Waseca moves up to eighth.

In Class 3A, Rochester Lourdes is still third. In Class 2A, Caledonia remains unbeaten atop the poll and Maple River is still sixth, Zumbrota-Mazeppa is seventh.

New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva is rated ninth in Class 2A and Kenyon-Wanamingo received votes but did not crack the top 10.

In Class 1A, Goodhue is 10th and, out of the same section, Rushford-Peterson and Fillmore Central are fourth and sixth respectively.

In nine-man football, Grand Meadow is alone on top with Spring Grove ranked second and Cleveland third.
